Dr. Yusuf brings over four decades of aviation and technology leadership to HASI. As co-founder and Chairman of Bellview Airlines for over 15 years, he led the development of one of West Africa's most successful private airlines, serving 14 destinations across Nigeria and the West African region.
Under his leadership, Bellview Airlines became the largest privately owned airline in West Africa and the first private local airline to provide commercial international operations to Amsterdam, London, Mumbai, Johannesburg, Accra, Monrovia, Freetown, and Banjul.
Beyond aviation, Dr. Yusuf pioneered Nigeria's IT industry as co-founder of Joint Komputer Kompany (JKK) in 1979, establishing the country's first indigenous computer firm. JKK remains a leading IT company in Nigeria today. His dual expertise in aviation and technology provides invaluable strategic guidance for HASI's technological innovation initiatives.
As founder and CEO of HASI, Mohammed Yusuf has been the primary driving force behind the company's growth and success since 2004. His passion for aviation began in childhood, building and flying his first model aircraft at age 9. This early enthusiasm evolved into professional expertise through his internship at Bellview Airlines and formal education in aeronautical sciences.
Mr. Yusuf specializes in aviation project execution and combines his aeronautical background with extensive IT knowledge, enabling him to identify and implement innovative technological solutions for complex aviation challenges. His vision has positioned HASI at the forefront of UAV technology adoption in West Africa.
Professor Obi brings 26 years of academic excellence from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, one of the world's leading aviation institutions. As a tenured professor specializing in aviation business management and economics, he has shaped the careers of thousands of aviation professionals globally.
His comprehensive knowledge spans all areas of the aviation industry, providing HASI with invaluable insights into industry trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities. Professor Obi's academic perspective ensures that HASI's strategies are grounded in sound business principles and industry expertise.
Abdulhakeem Usman Mustapha, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), graduated from Ahmadu Bello University in 1988 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989. His distinguished educational background includes advanced studies at Harvard Business School, Manchester Business School, Suffolk Law School Boston (LLM), and Business School Netherlands, The Hague (MBA).
As a member of the Nigeria Bar Association, Commonwealth Lawyers Association, and International Bar Association (IBA), Mr. Mustapha was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2016. His extensive corporate leadership experience includes serving as Chairman of multiple organizations including Airmec Renewable Energy Limited, IDC Consult Nigeria Limited, and various sports and governance bodies.
Dr. Orekunrin is a medical doctor, helicopter pilot, and founder of Flying Doctors Nigeria, West Africa's first Air Ambulance Service. Her groundbreaking work in bringing trauma care to remote parts of Western Africa demonstrates the practical application of aviation technology in critical services.
A graduate of the University of York in the UK and member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, Dr. Orekunrin is recognized as a national expert on disaster medicine and pre-hospital care. Her company has been featured on BBC, CNN, and various local media outlets, highlighting her leadership in aviation-based medical services.
A retired Nigeria Air Force officer with extensive experience as Airport Commandant at Murtala Muhammed International Airport and Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport. Group Captain Ojikutu trained as an Air Traffic Controller with the Royal Air Force, Shrewsbury, and the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria.
His specialized training includes Air Defence in the former USSR and Aviation Security and Safety certification from George Washington University (GWU), Virginia, USA. As founder of Centurion Aviation Security and Safety Consult, he brings critical expertise in airport security and safety protocols to HASI's operations.
Alhaji Adesina studied computer science and economics at the University of Ife, graduating in 1979. His distinguished career includes over two decades of service with the Department of State Services (DSS), culminating in his appointment as State Director in Bayelsa State before retiring in 2008.
In June 2021, he was appointed by the President to the board of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), demonstrating his continued relevance in national security and governance matters. His expertise in security operations and government relations provides valuable strategic guidance for HASI's government sector engagements.
